End of an era

Today we locked up our house of 33 years and handed the keys over to the estate agent ready to give to the new owners tomorrow (as long as everything goes smoothly!!). I have to admit, it was an emotional day! We said cheerio to neighbours we have known for all of the 33 years we have been there and also to some we have only known for a year. We’ve had such happy times in our house and have hosted people from all over the world. Goretex helped us with the last bits of cleaning yesterday. She knows the house well having stayed in it for 2 years with us. WiFi came yesterday to collect garden equipment, she stayed with us for 5 years! Miss Sudz wasn’t there but was there a couple of weeks ago, she stayed for 2 years. We may be moving from our house but our memories come with us and our friends and family will come to our new house.
So it’s on to pastures new. We’re grateful for the time we had in our house and look forward to the new chapter that’s about to unfold!
