Lunch from the chippy in the car at Deeping Lakes

Yesterday our visit to Deeping Lakes was postponed due to a later than expected delivery from our GP’s surgery pharmacy – no complaints there, we are lucky to get them delivered, great service.
 
Today our visit to Deeping Lakes via the chippy was postponed again, and this time due to the incompetence  of the private company that is supposed to delivery Mrs W’s immunosuppressant drugs for her RA!

We had a call on Monday to say that Pauline’s missing drugs were to be delivered tomorrow – Friday.  This morning we had a call to arrange for the delivery of the same drugs!  When it was pointed out that we were expecting a delivery tomorrow confusion took over, well came to the surface anyway as it always seems to be there.  The operator could see no record of this and said she would make enquiries and call back.  So here we waited until ten past two when we had a call to arrange the delivery of Pauline’s medication!
 
When the preceding calls were pointed out, again confusion reigned.  However a limp excuse was given, and we were told that there was not a delivery on Friday, but it would be delivered on Saturday!
 
What makes matters worse is that Pauline has been waiting for this drug since April, and she is supposed to take it with her new drug which was finally delivered (very late) a couple of weeks ago.  The hospital assure us that both drugs were on that prescription, and repeated prescriptions for the original drug had been sent since April!!
 
This is not the first time similar has happened, and back in 2019 complaints were made in all directions including to our MP.  The result of this was an enquiry which highlighted multiple failings and a warning given to ‘Health Care at Home’, who immediately changed their name to ‘Sciensus’.  When are our successive governments going to wake up to the fact that these private outfits only have the profit in mind and get away with what they can.  Nothing has changed, indeed seem to be worse!
 
So we wait to see if a delivery turns up tomorrow as well as Saturday.

So maybe we will get our lunchtime trip to sit by Deeping Lakes with a carryout from the chippy tomorrow – or not . . .
