Cirencester to Bourton on the Water

Our cycling journey today was via Chedworth Roman Villa, one of the grandest in Britain.

Unfortunately it’s not at Chedworth it’s at Yanworth as we found out in several discussions with irate walkers. It’s also in a ‘ bowl’ setting so which ever way you approach it is up and down narrow lanes.

So, did we enjoy it? Yes it’s well worth the visit and if the Romans who lived there did so today they would drive Ferraris and Rolls Royce’s !
