Takeoff
I was washing a water trough on the pasture when I heard a weird voice. It was the cranes, but not their usual trumpeting. Hard to describe how it sounded, but it turned to be because of the marsh harrier hovering just above them. I wish I had a camera on me then, because obviously it didn't happen again, when I fetched it. I just got a few shots of the cranes before and after takeoff and a couple of the marsh harrier flying too far.
There were showers again, some of them hard, but none lasted long. Three millimetres again, so enough to keep the dust down, but not much watering effect. Plenty of things to do where the rain doesn't matter much, including washing the cowshed and topping field edges.
