Rushing Water

Young River - the upper course. The beginning of a river, when it flows quickly with lots of energy, is called a young river. The Water of Leith has quieter sections, where you can get reflections, especially near the weirs used to control the flow of the river.

However there are sections where the water looks as though it is boiling.
