Down the throat

It's rather hot today but hasn't stopped JJ going off to golf.  He's not back yet.

It is our older grandson's thirteenth birthday today.  Normally both his mum and dad would be around but today's different.  Simon saw him off to school this morning, but is heading up to Leeds with his partner for a gig of some sort at Harewood House.  He would normally go to his mum's for the remainder of the day and to open presents there.  However she is still stuck in Addenbrooke's with Luke, who is not allowed home until he has finished his course of injected antibiotics and they are sure he's well enough to leave.  His other grandparents were going away for the weekend but have both tested positive for Covid and are isolating.  We had offered to have Liam for the weekend but his mum wants him to stay with her brother. 

Not the easiest for Liam, particularly as he likes routine and gets anxious if things change, which they have.  I do find blended family life very trying.

So Keir Starmer didn't get fined.   B......
