Sulphur Cinquefoil
My sister’s home has eleven acres of land surrounding it. Her property was once farmland, and she is attempting to create a wildlife sanctuary on most of it. There is a mowed walking path around the perimeter of a huge meadow that contains hundreds of milkweed plants to attract Monarch butterflies. While walking on the path, I found this small Sulphur Cinquefoil (Potentilla recta) flower. It is the first time I have seen this wildflower in her meadow.
