Sleep tight Peter...

Rob’s Dad, Peter, who has featured in many blips, passed away peacefully at home today. He was 92 and lived independently here in the same village as us.
His health has suffered over the past year but he never complained and continued to live a quiet life, enjoying chats with his neighbours,  coffee with his friends and dinner with us every Sunday.
We are so grateful that he moved here to be closer to us seven years ago from the East End of London. He has thoroughly enjoyed living here, looking out onto fields with an enormous variety of birds and sheep to entertain him when there wasn’t sport on the telly. For the first five years he could walk round to us, then he would drive and more recently Rob would collect him. He always said it was the best decision he made and we are very grateful we got to have him in our lives a ten minute walk away, we will greatly miss him.
Of late he has slept more and more, so in looking at this beautiful moon tonight, bathed in the light of the setting sun, we say, "Sleep tight Peter, sweet dreams".
