Something’s Missing

......... a huge Lime Tree in the garden behind ours was chopped down today ( see extras - going, going, gone ). Always sad to see an old established tree disappear and as far as I can make out it wasn’t diseased or dangerous ( so I’m not sure why it was felled) - just huge and created a lot of shade in our garden from around mid afternoon. I was sorry to see it go but the difference it has made to amount of light reaching the garden and kitchen is quite amazing ....... so I have mixed feelings in this.
