A Massive Mural

Two things about this picture

1. The mural is in downtown Flint, Michigan, and it is huge. Just by counting the windows on the building to the left, I think it is 10 stories high. But, I need to talk to the artist. Being connected to the University of Michigan, is the guy wearing the grad cap ascending someplace? And, what is with the woman in the lower left? I will say that it is striking, but it's a little strange for my liking.

2. In the building behind the mural is the famous Citizens Bank (now HB...Huntington Bank) weather ball. It changes colors.
When the weather ball is red,
warmer temperatures ahead.
When the weather ball is blue,
colder temperatures are due.
When yellow is the color of the ball,
there will be no change at all.
When it blinks in agitation,
there will be precipitation.

The weather ball has been operating since 1956, and weighs 5000 pounds.
