Friday: The Falls

Well, we had a most bizarre experience today when the Rogers network went down, leaving millions of people in Canada without internet or mobile coverage.  It was bizarre in the sense of realizing just how dependent we have become on connectivity.  For example, shops were only taking cash - I haven’t carried cash in years. 

It also affected my course.  I started well enough but at 0500 the internet dropped out and so I missed my last day in its entirety, which is a shame.  We put the day to good use, though, by doing some packing.

We met up with my former boss from Croatia, along with his wife and daughter, for hot dogs at ‘Tavern On The Falls’.  We pooled all our cash and so we were able to afford the evening!
