Hunkered Down
In an attempt to avoid the heat we set off on our walk at 9am. Our destination was a walk round the head of Rosedale calling in at Dalehead tea rooms for refreshments.
A cooling breeze helped to keep to keep the temperatures down. Good to see so many small birds and hear the plaintive cries of Curlews. The Ling was out which added a splash of colour.
We were passed by a number of cyclists using the newly upgraded cycle track along the old railway line that transported iron ore to the furnaces.
This young rabbit thought if it stayed stock still we would not notice it. Refreshments taken on board before the climb out of the valley back to the car. Mission achieved.
