Lincoln longwool
This is the fleece on the floor of the village hall in my jubilee weekend photo 4 June. It was a donation. I took it home, found it had bugs and with no time before I went away I put it to soak in rainwater. A method known as suint. You can Google that. Well, a month later I decided it had had enough, tipped the smelly water down the drain, gave it some rinses and now it’s airing on the patio in the heatwave. I’d say the method was a qualified success - the fleece is much cleaner, no bugs, but still quite greasy. The smell is wearing off already, fortunately.
