Herding by bike

I’ve had a visitor over the last two days who has been very hard work, but enjoyable in the end. We went out for a very warm late afternoon walk on the huge meadow nearby and had to keep an eye on this herd of young cattle. They didn’t quite seem to know where they were, being quite unsettled and active and therefore to be avoided by humans. In all that available space, naturally they settled on the only footpath…
Handily enough they’d obviously been herded by a farmer on a motorbike since they responded to this brave cyclist who drove them along to somewhere more suitable. He was only trying to get through, but he did a great job, albeit inadvertently.
