Mad About The Boy

As well as displaying carp banners for Tango no Sekku, the Boy's Festival which is on the same day as Kodomo no Hi (Children's Day), May 5th, many households display dolls of boys in samurai armour. This doll was specially made for us by one of Kazuko's aunties; the exceptionally long eyelashes show that the doll was modelled on Arthur.
