We had a very successful few hours out picking up litter, we filled our trolley that we found. Another hot morning.
Arnold arrived at lunch time, and I had put blankets in the shade in the garden, and a few dishes of water. I was reading my book, and then read aloud, which Arnold seemed to enjoy. He lay on the blanket next to me. Every time I got to the end of a chapter and paused, he would sit up, and if I began again, he would settle, so in the end I read quite a few chapters. We watched some of the tennis too.
We had a short walk later on, staying on the grass and cross crossing to stay in the shade.
