Khan Murjan
It's another Sunday! The morning was relaxed, as Sunday's should be. At short notice, we organised a Zoom call with my sisters.
The call with my sisters lasted over 90 minutes. We hadn't spoken since April, so there was lots of chatter. It was interesting to learn that Pakistan declared today is the first day of Eid, whereas the rest of the world had theirs yesterday! She said loads of goats, cows and even camels are being slaughtered in her neighbourhood. Yikes! I'm so glad they are designated areas here for that.
Later, we met with Jeff & Margaret after they finished their Sharjah meeting. They checked into their usual hotel on the Creek as they have to be at the airport for 7 AM tomorrow morning. We chose Biella in Wafi and then went back to the hotel to have coffee. M&J's loyalty to the hotel got them an upgrade, so instead of the Hampton, they moved to the Canopy, complete with a view of the Creek! We chatted for an hour before finally saying farewell. Home just before midnight.
My blip is taken in Khan Murjan, Wafi's upmarket souq, which we walked through after dinner. (We took the scenic route back to the car). ;)
