Not the greatest photo I've ever uploaded but it represents today, the whole weekend really, so there it is.  

Gary's been away this weekend, visiting his daughter, grandchildren, brothers.  I've stayed home and it's been great.  I've done diddly squat as it's been way to hot to do anything but lie down and read the papers.  At one point, I had to put the umbrella up. Heavens above.  

The only heat that has been applied to food has been via the toaster, my idea of a perfect weekend - minimal effort, maximum results.  Brie, basil and tomato on toasted rolls.  Seriously, does it get better than that. 

In other news, we've had some bad vandalism in our beautiful park.  I'll try to capture it tomorrow.
