My new Centre!

Today we visited out first centres! We went to two that were really close to each other, up on the northern hillside of La Paz! The views were amazing from the centres, with illumani towering over the vally! Both centres were really brightly painted, and inside smelled of fresh paint because they have both only been open a week or so!

They had different rooms for different aged children, from 6months to 5 years old. The children's parents pay a tiny amount for their children to come here, where they get food 5 times in the day and montisori teaching! They seem a bit force fed (not that the kids mind!) but apparently that is because most I their families are so poor they probably can't feed them much at home.

We played with the children and chatted to the staff and cooks, and generally were shown around what the centres are all designed around, with mini chairs and tables and micro loos, all so that it is child centered!

We had a 2 course lunch for 60p as well - showing how far out of the really city we were!!
