And tonight the turn of the town's large brass band to show it's heavy metal side. I arrived somewhat late on the car park, horrified to see loads of mainly older people returning to their cars. I thought it was all over.

Turned out the band had just taken a pause after a 2-hour session of playing 'normal' traditional Bavarian music and were just about to start the more modern session. Again the square was packed with young and old but there was generally more Tracht - Lederhosen and Dirndl - to be seen. However it must be noted that the young in tract is nowadays really IN.
