Chilly, chilly, chilly!

The coldest night I've had so far at -6 degrees C.  It was to have been departure day but things didn't go to plan........the saga continues.

Still, I did manage to spend a very cool hour-plus first thing stalking these two.  They didn't let me down either, displaying their courtship weed-swapping ritual a couple of times.  They're doing more than just swapping weed though - they're building a nest.  Can't help but think it's not a great spot for them as there area lot of fishermen and women who fish along that stretch of bank. Their choice though - I do hope it all turns out well for them.

Met a lovely couple of sanity-saviours today and enjoyed an hour or so chatting with them this evening over a wine in their rather lovely home on wheels.  There really are some lovely people around...........thank you A & P :D
