Breakfast with a View
When you don't have a view at home, it's a great excuse to take a short trip to find one! This morning, Jean and I took an early train to the nearby smaller town of Morges. By 7 am, we were sitting at an outdside terrace for breakfast overlooking the port. Behind the masts of the sailing boats, you can see the Mont Blanc which was so lovely and clear.
A long walk along the lakeside to see the first dahlias starting to bloom and then the train back to Lausanne.
Extras:
- Morges Medieval Castle, built in the 13th century. You can see a sign up for an exposition of tiny lead soldiers. The poster says: 'petits soldats'
- The second photo shows a close up of the sign and a young soldier (petit soldat) just walking past the gate! This one is for martindawe, if he comes happens to pop into today's journal entry!
