Endless Blue Skies …

… for another week, so we are having to set off much earlier than usual. Today we managed to stay in the shade of a north facing forest to gain altitude but by the time we descended into the huge valley pasture of La Vare we were cooked! A swim afterwards, to cool off, was very welcome.

Extra of giant yellow gentians at our high point. Difficult to believe these are of the same family as the blue gentians.
