Not out of place
This giraffe - one of several around the city - would not have felt out of place in the positively tropical heat and humidity we've experienced in Edinburgh today. I snapped him/her on my way into Edinburgh College of Art this afternoon to chair some interviews.
Other than that....I did a tough workout this morning, bussed to work, had a nice coffee with a colleague on arrival at work, did a catch up in person with my colleague, which was nice, did a bit more editing of the article that is in progress, and then after the interviews met up with SC, who is relatively newly arrived at UoE, for a quick drink. After that, I walked most of the way home, bar a couple of stops on the number 11, and then sat out after dinner with Mr A on the balcony for a post supper gin. It was quite windy when we were out there, as well as grey, but the wind seems to have dropped. It's very warm in the flat, which is a bit unpleasant.
Our new curtain arrangement was a definite improvement on its predecessor, cutting out much more of the early morning light. Tracks are better at that job than poles and rings. A definite learning from recent explorations.
