By the sea…
We’ve shared with many others today in a wonderful service to say goodbye to and in celebration of the life of an amazing man, the dear husband of a special friend.
We personally learnt more about his many talents; his musical skills of songwriting and guitar playing and other instruments. Of his painting talent, his wonderful mentoring and his commitment to the forces. Above all, we heard from his sons and granddaughter, his brother-in-law, and foster daughter speaking on behalf of all the family. We saw the love shared and heard the memories to be cherished. He will be so missed and there will be tough days ahead but it’s wonderful to see how well H will be cared for, by family and friends. So proud of them all.
Before going home we had to visit the sea! The tide was way out but the sand was perfect for a walk. B asked for donations instead of flowers to the RNLI and so I post this photo today. It’s B &H’s local lifeboat station at Littlestone. It’s been a privilege to be at the service today.
