Water feature corner

An unexpected day to myself as the Railway Experience Day was cancelled last night. I had a fairly easy, if somewhat frustrating morning trying to get various tasks sorted with a little success and some blind alleys.

This afternoon I tackled the garage, again, turning out accumulated bits and pieces which I’ve kept “just in case” I expect I’ll need some of them next week. I did find a spray can of black paint for the patio furniture which had gone AWOL for some while.

The pump in the water barrel which forms today’s blip failed the year before last. They seem to last a season then give up. A new pump was bought and has languished in the garage ever since. Today I fitted it so now we can sit and listen to the tinkle of water. Which can be off putting!

Very hot today, we watered at home and at the allotment after dinner. Pleasantly cooler in the later evening.

Thank you all for your lovely comments on yesterday’s family get together. So very nice to read them all. Chris arrived safely in Boston as did his luggage which has been very tardy on his last few flights.
