John Amos Comenius in Naarden

at the Marketstreet next to the old St. Vintus church in the old town of Naarden is this vivid statue of a man I'd never heard of before... It's of theologian and philosopher and pedagogue John Amos Comenius, who's born in 1592 in Moravia, in the Crown of Bohemia, what's now Chech Republic.
From reading some info in Wikipedia I noticed too that he's a true European!
