Balfour Castle and Kirkwall in the Distance

From Ward Hill you can see almost all around Shapinsay and most prominent is Balfour Castle where David Balfour lived. He had a huge impact on the landscape and you can still see evidence in the squared landscape and the Gas House and Village.
