More than a drop

I went to the podiatrist this afternoon.  Two of my toes are swollen and red.  Nah! It can't be I said to myself.  But the diagnosis confirmed it. 

Chilblains.  I haven't had chilblains since, well, since for ever.  When I was about 10 years old in deepest darkest Yorkshire.  Certainly not since I've been in this country.

And ... the weatherman (person) said that we'd get no more than 1 or 2 mm of rain.  It's tipped it down most of the afternoon.
