The tidiest my kitchen has ever been

The external demolition is finished, though there is still an internal partition to come down - only one, I think - and all the floorboards to come up.

The crumbly bricks from the now-demolished part of the house are now in a huge rubble-heap at the end of the garden waiting for a grabber lorry but the ones that are very much better quality than I expected, and held together (kind of) with bad mortar, are in a neat stack for re-using. Along with the bricks I brought with me to the house when I moved in I might just get away with not buying any.

Today, on schedule, some of the building (as opposed to demolition) team arrived.
