Eider

Spent the day in North Uist working in and around the RSPB reserve at Balranald. A day of very mixed weather, started off with hail and 2.5'C and ended up with 9'C and sunshine!

Eider are one of my favourite ducks, that green on the male's head always seems such an unreal colour to me :-)
