Another day, another bog.
Or perhaps more politely another Moss. This is Drumburgh Moss, another raised mire and peat bog.
This one is owned and managed by Cumbria Wildlife Trust. It is very extensive and is an internationally important example of the kind of area most of which has been lost in Britain as a result of human activity.
Like Glasson Moss, blipped last Saturday, it has a very special flora and fauna.
It was harder work getting round this one as there is less boardwalk and more narrow uneven footpath.
My blip shot shows a view looking over part of the Moss towards the Lake District fells. I think the highest you can see is Skiddaw.
