High Class Victuals

A seriously big day out - apologies Veronica and Steve on your day off! We went off exploring: a stone circle, a stone pillar, a ringfort, two holy wells, two churches, a sort of castle, some colourful villages, a posh shop and an excellent lunch over looking Glandore harbour. And a visit to Skibbereen Lidl for some emergency supplies.  No swim at Castlehaven as the water was full of jellies. We were hot, sweaty and wrecked. This amazingly painted shop front in Union Hall is a bit of a cheat for many of the frontages are looking fresh and jazzily painted as a Netflix series is being shot here, the Obamas being producers!

We released Veronica and Steve into the wild this morning (possibly Tuesday) and it was drizzling - the first time for a week, but scorching temperatures look to return, next week in particular.
I'm off across the water tomorrow, first to Manchester and then down to Glastonbury for my uncle's funeral. Will catch up on my return.

And we still don't know who Graham has married. Nor did we hear Lulu But I reckon I heard the Riverdance crew.
