Renovation

After only half listening to the weather forecast yesterday l was surprised to see it was quite dull and cloudy outside.
Still hot as l looked around the garden, parts of it still looking exhausted by the heat.
Tied up some lilies and managed to get pollen on my T shirt, knew l was supposed use sellotape to remove the stain but impulsively dabbed it with water and it did the trick.
Decided to have my breakfast before my walk and by the time l set off there was a bit of mizzle in the air.
I decided to still go out with no coat or umbrella and l was glad l did because it was quite refreshing.
Passed this house , l remember that it was derelict when l first moved here.
Always think it looks very pleasing.
Trimmed all the clematis montana now that it’s stopped flowering.
Not sure if it’s the right time to do it but it flowers profusely every year so no harm done.
Had lunch then took the green waste to the tip and tried to get a new spray head  for my hosepipe , thought all fittings were universal, apparently not.
One of those jobs l’ve never been responsible for in the past but will soon sort it now l understand what needs doing.
