Cambuskenneth Abbey

Cambuskenneth Abbey (in the little village of Cambuskenneth, on a spit of land created by the meandering river that stops it being consumed by Stirling) was originally built in the 12th century, and has been the site of the machinations of various Scottish kings (as well as the alleged final resting place of James III and his wife (the Queen of Denmark, being one of the reasons Orkney and Shetland became part of Scotland) - a tomb to them having being commissioned by Queen Victoria).

Nice wee trip we've been meaning to make for a while, and with an extra day off work post-moving my father-in-law out to his own house, it was a lovely wee jaunt to see and soak up.
