...and rather out of focus - the smallest moorhen chick is being fed by its parent, while its bigger sibling is wading knee-deep in mud and fending for itself.

A walk round the ponds on the Common with MrM, Liz, June and Bonny, Liz's Gordon setter pup. They'd come for a meal on their way back to Wakefield, except June has since decided to stay in the area for a little longer, and has pitched her camper on a nearby site. A very pleasant evening!
