confetti

Joanna recently taught me how to make confetti from flower petals - you can read how to do it here. My favourite rose (the one which blooms all the way from the summer to the winter solstice) is just dropping its first petals, so I thought I would have a go. Here is my first batch, and over the next few weeks I shall experiment with other flowers to get a nice colourful mix. I've put them in a freezer bag for now with some silica sachets.

A full-on day in the cafe today, with lots of families as the school holidays are in full swing and the park next door to us has been pretty busy. I shan't be working for the next week as we have a Big Event (no, not the wedding) to prepare for...yes, this weekend is Sarah's Bob Graham Round and the planning is in full swing. I'm hoping it won't be too hot, but we'll just have to wait and see...
