Downtown

Dozza.

After a morning of lounging in the garden and around the pool and following an alfresco pasta lunch that I rustled up on summat of a whim, we took oursens off 1.5km down the road to the local town of Dozza.

It's a tiny little place but thanks to their 'Festival Of The Painted Wall' that takes place each September there are murals and artworks everywhere - very charming indeed. We had a wander, found a bar with a garden out back for espressos and then stocked up on soft  drinks (cedar flavour - oh hello!) on the way home.

Swimming, more lounging, fizz in the early evening sun, alfresco aubergine tart and rocket salad to go with the sunset. Italy, you're kind of spoiling us, really.
