Boat of Garten

Our hotel has been super, we have stayed there before so knew it would be.  We were given two bottles of wine on the house each dinner, and of course the complimentary rail tickets, they did us proud.  

Today is our last day and we headed to Boat of Garten and the Osprey Centre, and took some time to visit and see the Osprey chicks, always a nice thing to do.  There were lots of birds, including some Goshawks raising their young, although it was impossible to photograph these. 

We walked from the centre and had a lovely walk taking in two lochs, Loch Garten and Loch Mallachie, with some lovely waterlilies blooming.  We were in pinewoods some of the time, and as it was very hot we appreciated the shade of the pines.  

After our walk we headed home via Auchterarder where we had booked an evening meal at the Golf Club there.  We often use this facility as they have been very welcoming to us and their food is good.  Fish and Chips was the order of the day for me, followed by Strawberry Cheesecake. 

So home in the evening, and got the first load of washing on to be put out in the morning.  We had a wonderful time with good company, and we think we have some good walks for the club to do in October.  All good.
