Diary of an Edinburgher

Gardening

Archie’s new friend, Denise, came to take him out this morning. He welcomed her like a long lost friend, which, of course, is nice. Denise texted to say she had Covid, but is feeling sort of OK, so a big long walk was good for her. She didn’t come near us! Actually, we know lots of people who have Covid now, and yet all during the pandemic, we didn’t know of anyone…

While they were gone, I got the ladder and clippers out to snip the stray twigs on the top of the hedge, but I was a bit wobbly, and so JR, when she came home from the gym, kindly did it. We spent the morning in the garden, snipping away along the hedge, watering plants and washing the path.

JR then went off to get some black outdoor furniture paint - everything needs a new paint job, so it’s here and ready for when I take the urge.

I fiddled about a bit more with Apple TV, and eventually got the PQ17 documentary going, but had to pay (£1.89) and play it on iTunes, not Apple TV, for some reason. But I got it mirrored on the TV, so we watched it. Tragic story. And JR’s uncle went on the very next convoy!

Been watching all the political shenanigans on and off all day.

Better Call Saul restarts tonight!!
