Went to Great Bernera today and visited the Iron Age house at Bosta. Based upon some Iron Age houses excavated in the 1990s, it’s a fantastic and atmospheric reconstruction. And an excellent piece of experimental archaeology- fire place laid out according to ritual. Nope best place to get air from the door. The guide was excellent and full of these little insights.
