Spotty Sun

Taken through thin cloud today. I know I always say this but it is important; never look at the Sun without suitable bona fide filtration. I use a specialist film which looks like tinfoil but blocks 99.99% of the Sun's light.
I watched the latest edition of The Sky at Night which was largely about solar observation but there was insufficient stress on safe practice. The editing at times gave the impression that an unfiltered telescope could be used or even sunglasses. I need to contact them.
