Allium

These are such strange plants.. very tall this year and rather bent but looking dramatic with the alchemilla as a back drop.
Thankfully the cloud remained throughout the day so the intense heat we had yesterday did not repeat itself.  Infact we had rain which seemed a little odd..I am not complaining!  I had a back treatment which was much needed but the aftermath sent me to bed for a sound sleep for an hour this afternoon.. it was wonderful.  We have both daughters and the naught little cat staying tonight.. what joy.. it really is lovely to have them home.  We cooked kofta on the barbecue along with grilled aubergine and I concocted a spicy chickpea salad which all went down rather well with a glass of rose. So fabulous to be able to sit outside in shirt sleeves till gone 11pm and not feel (too hot) cold!
