Old Quarry Reflections
As yesterday’s flood was bad enough to fill the old quarry I went out early to look. The water was very deep and it flowed out across the road, forming a snaking river over the usually dry countryside. With fresh snow on the mountains it was very pretty.
In the main shot Mount Torlesse is reflected beside the hawthorn tree. Note the magpie that sat chortling in the tree. To make the most of the wide view I’ve included a shot of all three peaks as the extra. I couldn’t get away from the fences because the water was too deep for me to wade to the best positions. The fences and fenceposts are double height due to the reflection.
