Greywalls Hotel
Oh Goodness, what a wonderful time I’ve had today. Thanks to the Merry Widows treating me to a visit to Archerfield for coffee and Greywalls Hotel for afternoon tea, I’ve had a day to remember.
Because of my ankle woes I couldn’t join them at the holiday we had booked in Amble in May so they decided I needed a consolation prize and that was my day in the East Lothian sun.
We drove to our coffee stop at the Archerfield Estate via the farm shop at the Gosford estate to stock up on sausages and Stornoway black pudding , all of which made a good effort at self cooking in the heat of the car during the times we were parked in the sun.
We had slow meanders round the Fairy Walk in Archerfield and the gardens at Greywalls and after tea a sit in the sun looking at the golfers at Muirfield. The sun shone and the breeze was warm. Perfect weather.
Home at 6pm, with lovely memories . Thank you Val and Sheila!
