I was only thinking the other day that I hadn't seen a haaf netter this season.  This guy lives in my village so had a quick chat with him whilst walking Misty.  When I first moved here there were numerous haaf netters but these days with dwindling salmon numbers they are very limited with what they are allowed to catch which I guess has put people off doing it.  Further along the estuary there were lots of black headed gulls together with a few other waders and cormorants.
