Purple Flowers--and Space!!

Purple cone flowers, to be more precise, at Bread Euphoria, 20 minutes north of us, where many of you will recall our going to get excellent bread (and also pastries--today a ginger cream cheese.

This evening we watched a fascinating PBS Nova program on the construction and deployment of the James Webb Space Telescope. It was particularly interesting for me because it works on the same principle as the reflecting telescope which I used in my teens.  Back then I even tried grinding my own mirror for one, though I didn't get far :)
