A Prayer for Humankind

I  pray for peace.
For everyone to be at peace with who they are, at peace  with where they are and at peace with the decisions they have made and how they have dealt with the consequences of those decisions.

I pray for understanding.
For people to be understood and to understand.
To seek insight and knowledge
To look at others as they would want others to look at them.

I pray for acceptance.
Acceptance of ourselves and others.
Acceptance of what we have in common and acceptance of our differences.

Only then love will follow and only then we shall have compassion.
