Cork

Our hotel in Cork is high above the city on one of its steep hills. The centre of the city is an island surrounded by the River Lee. I spent the morning walking around the riverside, crossing many of the bridges. Then a visit to the English Market and the Crawford Art Gallery, whose collection includes some portraits of local people.
