The Hermit of Treig

This is a BBC film of an elderly man who lives in a log cabin of his own construction in an otherwise uninhabited place in the Scottish Highlands. He has to walk 27 miles and back again just to post a letter. It wouldn't play this afternoon. Not enough broadband juice.
    I spent a long time filling in a form to apply for a Scottish Book Trust New Writer Award. I did it because they gave me a 24 hour extension beyond the closing date due to the techy issues that defeated me yesterday. Well, you never know.
